JOB PURPOSEThis role is responsible for the development, design and maintenance of all internal and external communications channels and projects for the businessACCOUNTABILITIESSourcing and writing content for publication on websites for many different businesses within the Appco network (including news, blogs and thought-leadership articles)Managing and continually updating multiple social media channels with bespoke content to increase engagement and assist with online reputation management of the businessManaging the daily requirements of the organisations SEO strategyAssisting with the delivery of and ongoing adherence to the global communications strategymaintaining, galvanizing and liaising with a group of international contacts for content-gathering purposesProofing all copy for use in printed publications and sales collateral, and on websites, apps, etc.Managing the internal staff e-newsletter and other internal communications projectsbuilding relationships with staff and business partners alike in order to provide the best support for the businessMonitor the communications strategy used by the business partners, offering support and solutions as requiredProviding communications support on ad-hoc projectsQUALIFICATIONBachelor in Communication & Mass MediaJOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEExcellent written and spoken EnglishExcellent understanding of English grammarExperience of and proficiency in managing multiple social media channelsExperience of and proficiency in SEO-based content creationExperience writing across multiple channels, both on and offlineExperience in news/content sourcingStrong project management skills able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasksKnowledge of Editing, proofreading, layout & designShould have wide degree of creativity & latitudeAll-rounder in communication, with an excellent grasp of content creation/marketing for print and online channels for internal and external audiences.A strong writer with an excellent grasp of grammar and the ability to produce powerful content for a variety of channels and purposesA multi-tasker, who is skilled at and confident juggling multiple projects simultaneously, without compromising on quality or deadlinesAbility to focus on new projects with little or no warning, and quickly grasp then deliver the requirements.A proficient writerAbility to manage, support and add creative input in regards to layout, artwork and design of all communications produced by the teamThe communications manager will work closely with the Head of Communications, fellow members of the Cobra Communications team and colleagues across the organisation, so they must be able to take direction, offer advice and have strong interpersonal skills.
