Job Description

    Purpose of the positionSupport function to General Manager BD ProjectsMarket Intelligence and research of business opportunitiesDevelop business with client and achieve the monthly/ annual targets on account profit and volumes.Key TasksSales AdministrationActive participation in development of project forwarding business.Analyze the techno-commercial requirements of RFQs and create the right solutions with the help of internal / external stake holders.Obtain necessary approval as per procedure on the various legal/ commercial/ risk aspects.Quote /negotiate and close sales proposals with clients, to achieve the targets.Report Sales activity into the Sales force.Maintain Sales Visit Plan.Business DevelopmentGiving solution for Project cargo including Heavy-Lift, ODC and OWC cargo movement and storage on door to door basis by Ship / Air /Road / River / Barge / Rail or Multimodal and Warehousing for industry vertical such as oil and gas, power, infrastructure, refinery, manufacturing, used equipment movement.Create new accounts, especially turnkey and large projects. Meet prospective customers basis the sales leads generated.Create brand awareness. Build strategic and long-term relationship with clients.Identify new business opportunities.Develop strategies and new ways to reach existing market and exploit the opportunities togenerate more revenue.Decision Making AuthorityDecision authority as delegated by the Head Projects, Oil & Gas, in accordanceregulationsFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process workingFunctional know-how in air / sea / logistics / SCMMarketing & Sales Management know-howIndustry Expertise in Oil & Gas upstream / downstream businessUnderstanding ofstrategy and productsMarket knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers, overall environment)Advanced business administration competenceSkills & CompetenciesMarket knowledge of Logistics industry.Strong Selling and communication skillsShould be a team person with excellent interpersonal skills.Building new customer base
