Job Description

Qualification:MBA / CFA/ CA1- 3 Years experience in Investment Banking.Job location - Churchgate,Industry Specific:Preparing market and industry research reports highlighting key issues, trends and outlook as advised by the senior teamUndertake research on special projects or sector to identify business opportunities including Potential Clients for the various productsTrack identified companies/sectors on a regular basis for key events and announcementsPrepare and circulate newsletters/reports relating to the research on a monthly basisProvide the industry related inputs for the creation of transaction materialsConduct detailed industry analysis and develop firm Industry knowledge of one or more sectorsTransaction Execution: Provide execution support to the senior teamAssist in the preparation of company valuations, financial models, company marketing documents and client presentationsResearch background material and provide inputs for the preparation of key transaction documents:o Client profileso Information Memorandums, Pitch Books and Teaser documents.o Management presentationsWork with the senior team on the financial model and analysis including:o DCF analysiso Valuation of companies based on comparable company analysiso Precedent transaction analysisDevelop analytical documentation to support deal process:Create financial models using excel and other financial toolsPerform financial analysis like DCF, Proforma earnings, accretion/dilution, sum of the parts, etcConduct comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and trading multiples etcPerform client due diligenceManage client engagement through:Maintain client relationships by managing day to day inquires & obtaining appropriate information to execute assignmentsCoordinate between the different levels of the company and with external parties to complete the transactionAdministrative: Provide administrative support to the deal teamResponsible for all client files hard copy and soft versions to be maintained and kept up to date and backed up on the server.Ensure that deal critical documents like NDAs, Mandate letter etc. are stored correctly in hard and softcopy and backed up on serverSet up and send out meeting and conference call requestsEnsure that the closed deal process is followed (necessary client communication, preparation of tombstones, website updation, preparation of case study etc.)Document archiving , filing and appropriate destructionCreating and updating company databases in a timely mannerAssisting the senior team in drafting client engagement lettersKnowledge Excellent industry analysis, financial analysis and modelling skills, including DCF, SOTP, Valuation etc.Ability to comprehend data (both qualitative & quantitative) and communicate succinctly.Excellent understanding of specific sectors/industries including the various issues, trends and outlook for them.Knowledge of Investment Banking products like Term debt raising, working capital financing, project finance, structured products, M&A etc.Ability to build financial models using financials tools and spread sheetsValuation skills DCF, SOTP, Relative ValuationGood financial acumen and numbers skillsExpertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Word etcSkills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to comfortably interact with business clients and managementAbility to work on multiple transactionsAbility to use the library and the web to do research, as well as use of data bases like Capital IQ, BloombergHighly organized, detail oriented and proactiveEnergetic and decisive, with high level of integrityAbility to pick up new idea in short time frameAbility to work under pressure in different situationsPossess excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with both senior management & all staffAbility to work in a time sensitive environmentStrong analytical, report writing & compilation skillsStrong problem solving skillsGood command over English and Good communication (both written & Verbal) and presentation skills
