The department also assigns Internal Credit Ratings; establishes and manages credit risk limits in accordance with the risk tolerance established by the Board; monitors and reports on credit risk exposures on a regular basis to the Chief Risk Officer and senior management. CRM also interacts with business units to ensure that credit risk assessments are factored into business decisions.Position SummaryMorgan Stanley is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the CRM function responsible for the PWM Asia credit portfolio. Morgan Stanley is a global leader in wealth management with an extensive network of 1,000 offices across the U.S. and in key international locations. PWM Asia operates through offices in Hongkong and Singapore, covering clients across North and South Asia. We provide a range of products and services to individuals, businesses and institutions, including brokerage and investment advisory services, financial and wealth planning, credit and lending, cash management, annuities and insurance, retirement and trust.Responsibilities may include:Conduct due diligence related to PWM Asia credit applications for ultra-high net worth individuals and related corporate entities and structuresEnsuring credit reviews met internal quality expectations, and conduct quality assurance monthly reviewsSupport the compiling of Credit Applications, Margin Exception Memos or other Credit documents and evidence for audits and compliance testsIdentify and follow-up in support of PWM Credit on existing credit risks through the review processes, including incomplete documentation, deteriorating collateral or adverse borrower information.Promptly escalate to PWM Credit any material individual relationship or portfolio observations including past due reviews and negative trends.Prepare high quality credit memos with recommendations to credit approvers. Articulate recommendation in a clear, concise and informed manner. Demonstrate acceptable knowledge and preparation of material.Ensure credit applications are processed in an appropriate manner in full accordance with credit policies and procedures to protect the interests of the firm.Ensure credit reviews are undertaken in an accurate, timely manner and complete within designated due datesSubmit completed annual reviews for authority approval through the Credit Approval System, *Experience Required Bachelor s Degree required, Level 1/2 - CFA/FRM cleared candidates preferred5 to 7 years of previous experience in Finance, Private Banking and Credit preferredKnowledge of investment products including derivatives and understanding of financial statementsWell organized and able to work in a fast paced environmentStrong organizational skills, process management and time management skills.Possess strong problem identification and solution techniquesGood collaboration skills in a team-oriented environmentStrong oral and written communication, including the ability to communicate effectively across regional teams.Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with relentless attention to detail and an inquisitive nature.Excellent team player with the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.Should have experience in drafting SOPs and process documentsExperience in managing a team of 2 to 3 people would be a plus
