About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Underwriter in Credit Life Insurance space to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing risks, strategizing the best insurance plans, and pitching to multiple insurance companies based on the risk assessments. This role requires a thorough understanding of underwriting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.Key responsibilities: • Assess and analyze risks associated with potential claims to determine the appropriate level of coverage.• Develop and implement strategic plans to provide the best insurance solutions by comparing multiple insurance companies.• Conduct detailed evaluations of insurance applications, including financial statements, loss runs, and other relevant documents.• Liaise with insurance companies to negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing based on assessed risks.• Prepare and present underwriting reports and recommendations to senior management and insurance partners.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, claims, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.• Support the sales team in pitching insurance products to clients by providing detailed risk assessments and policy comparisons.• Participate in continuous professional development to enhance underwriting expertise.Your key qualifications & competencies: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting, preferably within the Life insurance industry.
