The Red Hat consulting team is looking for a Senior Architect with broad experience with design, development, deployment, and support of infrastructure solutions for the SAP landscape to join us in our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) team. In this role, you will listen to customer s technical challenges and suggest various solutions, understanding that the same solutions may not be suitable for everyone. Youll work with the Sales team to provide deep technical insight for Red Hat s infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions. As a Senior Architect, youll need to have a deep understanding of Linux and management solutions (automation and hybrid cloud), along with experience applying them to SAP infrastructure requirements and implementations. Youll also need to have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you will be in front of customers on a daily basis. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

• Understand customer challenges with SAP infrastructure projects and provide technical solutions to address these issues using the Red Hat portfolio in collaboration with other Red Hat teams
• Use your extensive knowledge of our offerings and technical expertise to prepare customer proposals
• Present complex solutions to potential customers, explaining the business value of Red Hats SAP solutions to customers and partners
• Provide and document architecture and design guidance, addressing the concerns and needs of the business and operations teams
• Demonstrate and support presales pilots and practical proofs of concepts based shaping success criteria to achieve technical wins in customer engagements
• Research and support responses to technical sections of requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposal (RFPs)
• Participate in kicking off new projects; inform and support the implementation team of the projects design
• Provide direct technical delivery
• Deliver compelling recommendations that result in the closing of new sales
• Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and collaborate across sales and services teams to assess the potential application of Red Hats solutions
• Support events with SAP, user groups, etc., by evangelizing Red Hats solutions and conducting demonstrations
• Actively participate in Red Hats SAP community of practice
• Document and contribute to the global Red Hat s knowledge management system

Required skills

• Prior experience doing consulting delivery in the SAP infrastructure space
• Knowledge of and experience with operating system (OS) or database (DB) migrations, like migration of the SAP instances to a different target OS and DB platform
• SAP instance and DB management skills, especially for the SAP HANA database platform
• Practical SAP experience; SAP migration certifications are a plus
• Advanced knowledge of relevant platform and infrastructure solutions and subject matter expert-level technical depth in one or more offerings across technologies like Linux, system management, high availability clustering, virtualization, operations, or maintenance
• Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Proven record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
• Ability to collaborate in a global team environment, proactively engage subject matter experts, and follow through on commitments
• Comfortable presenting to and having technical and business discussions with senior management (director of enterprise applications, head of IT), as well as with SAP basis administrators
• Prior Linux or UNIX experience
• Fluent communication skills in English
