Edge Use Case and 5G Platform Transformation Sales DeveloperLocation Remote SingaporePosting date 2 days ago(2/5/2021 11:19 AM)Job ID 84367 Category Business Development Job summary The Red Hat Global Sales team is looking for an Edge Use Case and 5G Transformation Sales Developer to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will represent Red Hat as the vendor of choice into the carrier telecommunications market on a global basis, which will include telecommunications operators, system integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and network technology partners. You will enable and support the sales teams across the commercial sales team, including direct and channel sales teams, to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by developing and evangelizing use cases around the edge and 5G network transformation. As an Edge Use Case and 5G Transformation Sales Developer, you ll need to have solid leadership, technical, and executive engagement skills to guide alignment across a wide range of Red Hat s and ecosystem stakeholders while representing Red Hats global telco business in support of Red Hat s sales, partner, and customer business needs. Additionally, you will provide edge sales enablement support to the global telco sales team. This position is open to internal candidates only. Outside candidates, including referrals, are not being accepted at this time. Primary job responsibilities

  • Enable the Global Telco Sales team by imparting edge use case insights, industry insight, ecosystem expertise, and general telecom landscape knowledge to promote best practices and increase revenue
  • Motivate, coach, and mentor sales team to grow existing accounts and capture new business around edge deployment by developing effective industry-specific sales strategies
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and partners to gain an deep understanding of the customer and partner businesses, network infrastructures, and IT and applications environments while allowing the sales team to best match Red Hat s offerings and solutions with those of our ecosystem of partners to address customer business needs and requirements
  • Design strategic edge sales plays through competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and thoughtful positioning of our offerings
  • Provide disciplined, ethical, and focused leadership to the Sales team that will foster success based on a culture of respect for customers, associates, and Red Hat values
  • Evangelize and embed a thorough sales qualification and pipeline management process through the development and maintenance of executive and senior-level customer relationships at key accounts
  • Apply your solid leadership, technical, and executive engagement skills to guide alignment across a wide range of Red Hat s and ecosystem stakeholders while representing Red Hats global telco business in support of Red Hat s sales, partner, and customer business needs
  • Play an important role within the Field Sales team by maintaining a personal presence and being highly visible through direct customer engagements in the field
  • Coordinate with other sales development professionals at Red Hat to ensure best practice for the sales engagement process
Required skills
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline; MBA is a plus
  • Solid understanding of and experience selling telecommunication carrier software solutions, preferably with prior experience in the 5G or edge environments
  • 10-15 years of solid leadership experience working in a technology sales organization; experience with software is a big plus
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales targets in both direct and channel routes to market
  • Successful record of delivering annual sales targets between $10M and $15M
  • Demonstrated experience developing sales organizations that consistently deliver double digit year-over-year increases in revenue
  • Excellent planning, financial, and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to apply these skills to complex situations with competing priorities
  • Good customer orientation and presentation skills
  • Ability to partner with senior business leaders to understand needs and deliver solutions that meet expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and design novel approaches that balance local customer needs with corporate guidelines and philosophies
  • Background in positioning and selling network and network services within the telco marketplace
  • Ability to articulate and evangelize the vision and positioning of both Red Hat and open source technologies and secure long-term customer commitments
