Job Description

*Test Automation Lead who can work with the development team in building and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining and adding to the existing automation framework, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets to augment QA and Development testingWell-rounded experience of 10-14 years in functional and automation testing. Skilled in Selenium and one programming language such as Java, Python. Hands on experience of implementing BDD framework using either Serenity or Cucumber, RPA.Sound understanding of testing principles, techniques, approaches:

  • Agile testing
  • Functional, black box, regression, sanity testing
  • DB validation and SQL
  • Automation frameworks BDD, TestNG
  • Interface & system integration testing
  • QA metrics and KPIs
Hands on experience of authoring basic testing artifacts such as
  • Test plan & strategy
  • Testcases
  • Daily status reports
Testing checklists entry & exit criteria, environment readinessWorking knowledge of following modules of an enterprise test management tool such as HPALM, HPQC or Octane
  • Release management
  • Requirements traceability to test cases and defects
  • Test planning & execution
  • Defect management
This Development Engineer role will play a hands-on role to develop quality applications within the desired timeframes.Key Accountabilities (List the expected end results or KPIs that the job holder is expected to achieve for this job. In-house Capability: Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habits while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget Learning: Should be able to deliver consistent results and scale on new technologies faster. People Leadership: Ability to lead a group of technical engineers and mentor them appropriately. Ability to define technical goals for a group of engineers and review them periodically.Job Duties & responsibilities (List the principal duties.   • Collaborating with multiple application teams and internal clients to research, assess technical needs and develop new Automation solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on using code to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation.
  • Estimate test efforts, analyze and communicate test results and participate in day to day QA Activities.
  • Work with Development, Test and Product Management to design and implement test and validation strategies.
  • Execute and manage test cases and results; report on test and defect metrics.
  • Create, execute and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across our systems.
  • Contribute to robust, scalable, and high quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing
  • Contribute to the building of a continuous Integration (CI) environment and ongoing process improvement activities.
  • Identify required improvements in the test and development processes; make contributions to our automation tools that address specific needs.
  • Maintain a high quality bar in a complex and constantly evolving workspace.
  • Excellent written and Verbal communications skills.
Required Experience (Indicate nature and extent of work experience including minimum number of years required.)
  • Min 5 years of experience automating the web application using BDD or TDD framework
  • Experience in Automating the Angular Based Web Applications
  • Strong expertise in Core Java, Collections
  • Experience in Integrating test scripts with Jira, Jenkins and devOps tools.
