Looking for Technology head with a leading Travel company.What the candidate should be like Someone who ensures training is provided on any new information management tools that may be introduced. Someone who provides remedial support where necessary. Someone who loves technology passionately. Our platform is in Ruby on Rails. Someone who bores friends by talking about test- driven development and automated testing frameworks, make fun of some of the technology challenged folks in the team like me who just think backpacking is everything. Someone who is unable to live without source code management (we use GitHub) and need to understand technology problems as part of a broader product vision, strong believer of automation of everything. Have passion for travel and interest in building systems that will help travellers. To line manage and develop the team, working with them to plan and prioritise their workloads, set objectives, conduct appraisals and supported to continually improve their performance and results. It s in your genes to follow best practices (test- driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards) To develop and implement plans, in consultation with key stakeholders. Desired Experience: Should be experienced in Ruby on Rails Core Backend Stack / Full Stack working experience Responsibilities: Integrating new features to our product offerings Write clean, well designed code Troubleshoot and debug applications Collaborate with internal teams to identify system requirements Contribute in all phases of the product development lifecycle to continuously improve the product Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support) Continuously improve performance of product Follow industry best practices Stay up- to- date with industry & technology developments Requirements:Highly computer literate; with Business Analysis skills Ability to translate organizational direction into specific team and individual job expectations, managing performance through effective monitoring, coaching, and feedback Resource management has skills to Influence results through appropriate staffing, budgetary management and maximization of available resources Good CS fundamentals and problem solving skills.
