Responsible for working closely with the EGS leadership team to develop and deliver on business objectives and coordinate execution of cross-business initiatives. The Head of EGS Wholesale will also play a critical role in the development of the vision and strategy of EGS support and execution of initiatives associated with the One Wholesale Transformation. This leader will drive efficient and effective planning, decision making, and service delivery across EGS Wholesale through process improvements, standardized tools and resources, and leading certain shared services. Leads EGS Wholesale LOB in India and Philippines. Manages relationships and act as EGS liaison with Third Party Outsource Vendors (e.g. Genpact, Evaluserve, others) that support Wholesale LOB Operations across various LOBs at EGS. Builds and maintains strong ties between EGS Wholesale team and US LOB and Operations teams in order to advance One Wholesale strategic initiatives and the Wholesale Transformation process. Ensure EGS participates in Wholesale Transformation initiatives at early stages. Continues to develop, strengthen, and expand Community of Practice teams to deliver effective and efficient functional services supporting multiple Wholesale business groups. Aligns with Wholesale GSPO to deliver cost effective and timely services to existing Wholesale businesses and expand EGS capabilities into new functional support areas. Works closely with Wholesale Control team to coordinate risk management, control capabilities, and quality assurance support to strengthen Wholesale controls within EGS.Market Skills and CertificationsStrategic ManagementBuild / participate in the Strategy for global delivery of Corporate Risk functions including location strategy, make or buy decisions, leadership hiring and talent planning, team member career pathing/retention/succession planning.Operational Management Building a team of risk management talent, sustaining team member engagement and helping to identify opportunities to better engage across Corporate Risk, Business Group control, and Enterprise Function control communitiesRisk identification, mitigation plan development and Risk reportingPerforming risk and control self-assessmentsPreparing Risk Reporting and presenting to Business stakeholdersUnique Knowledge & Skill Requirement: 23-25 years of overall experience with experience of 14-18 years in risk disciplines of a multinational financial institution or supporting multinational financial institution. These include Credit and Market Risk, Model Risk, Quantitative model development, Stress testing, Risk Analytics, Operational Risk, Compliance, Testing, and Enterprise Risk. Experience with analytic techniques, machine learning, natural language processing, and other advanced methods, ideally within a risk setting, will be an added advantage.Knowledge of the risk related framework and disciplines primarily in the banking industry and its related operations. Proficiency and understanding nuances of risk reporting to meet the needs of various stakeholders and adapting to changing needs and requirements will be critical. Experience in managing relationships with US Banking regulators will be an advantage.Demonstrate strong collaboration, negotiation, stakeholder management (including ability to deal with ambiguity and contrarian views), communication, presentation and influencing skills; ability to build and lead a large team across multiple geographiesProven ability in exercising independent judgment and applying prudent risk mitigation principlesConsulting experience with senior management teams. Ability to work well in teams.Essential experience in one or more core Banking Risk verticals.
