Job Description

JOB SUMMARYServes as the business analyst for centralized and consolidated measurement, planning, and reporting for the Trial Master File (TMF) Operations Business Unit (BU). Works with end-users, TMF Operations staff, cross-functional staff, and external users to execute assigned deliverables within scope and on time.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESSupports BU initiatives by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time and in-scope delivery.Enables users to manage projects and conduct operational oversight by supporting the development, maintenance and presentation of key operational metrics and internal dashboards.Supports oversight of data, quality and structure in applicable systems.Collects data and generates reports to address strategic questions; drawing conclusions and making recommendations based on expertise.Identifies operational inefficiencies, risk and barriers to success for improvement of process, reporting and intelligence gathering.Identifies issues for escalation and routes to appropriate resources via proper escalation procedures.Uses appropriate and effective customer-oriented communication skills to provide accurate and timely responses based on urgency and type of information being communicated.Applies combination of industry and TMF knowledge to provide accurate guidance or identify appropriate resources for support in a professional and timely manner.Exhibits appropriate judgment in identifying and communicating sensitive issues to all of the company s customers and stakeholders.Maintains knowledge of assigned system(s) and develops necessary technical skills associated with the system usage.Exercises appropriate critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify and understand problems, analyze and communicate impact, and bring to timely resolution.Maintains and continually monitors operational indicators to identify critical business issues.Keeps departmental leadership apprised of emerging/actual issues.Assists with maintenance of end-user training materials, job aids and Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions (SOP/WI) documents. Provide system demos to internal and external users.Assists with other clinical TMF systems projects and department initiatives as necessary to meet business needs.Participates in client systems audits, as necessary.For systems support focused roles:Assists with systems development, validation and integration work (for incoming/ outgoing data) for quality and integrity, as applicable.Grants access for internal/external users based on requests according to the company s Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions, as applicable.Performs the role of liaison between TMF BU departments, external end users, IT and Vendors with study specific enhancements, electronic TMF transfers, and bridging with other systems, as applicable.Ensures the successful development of structure updates and configuration of relevant collaborative workspaces according to assigned specifications and workflows as applicablePerforms other work-related duties as assigned.Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).Position may require minimal weekends and/or nights during system releases., QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (please indicate if preferred )Undergraduate degree and/or minimum of 2 years related experience with degree in the life sciences, computer science, information technology, business administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Electronic Document Management Systems, web-based systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail. Above average attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills. Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment are essential.
