Careers that Change Lives We are looking for a talented Senior Sofware Engineer for the R&D Engineering function of Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center R&D facility for our Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) Software division. The individual will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process.Candidates must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment.The Senior Engineer frequently interacts with Tech Lead, other developers, V&V engineers, internal partners and stakeholders concerning estimations, design, implementation or requirement clarifications, works closely with global sites.The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a passion for technology and creative problem solver. SW development & testing, prototype development and testing (software). A Day in the Life Design, Develop and test Software high integrity software for medical devices. Learn and understand software standards for Medical devices, ex. IEC62304. Define and implement software requirements and designs and review software developed by other team members. Contributes and applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex technical problems. Implement software requirements and designs using C#,.Net Framework, .Net Core, Angular, SQL Server, HTML, TypeScript, CSS, TypeScript, Entity Framework and Karma/Jasmine. Review software developed by other team members. Participate in process improvement initiatives for the software team. This includes recognizing areas for improvement as well as working with others to develop and document process improvements. Demonstrate ownership of software feature/module and drive development of the feature/module through SDLC. Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior software engineers. Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team velocity. Maintain, improve and design new software tools. Work under general direction and collaboratively with internal and external partners. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. 8 years of relevant work experience in Software development 3 years of strong experience in Angular 4 or Higher. 4 years experience building responsive, single page web applications using modern front-end JavaScript technologies like Angular, React etc. 4 years experience in working in .Net Framework,C#, .Net Core. 3 years experience in creating and/or consuming RESTful web services 3 years of experience using Agile methodology Highly Knowledgeable in Test Driven Development methodologies. Experience in Design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, Clean architecture Experience in working with GIT/TFS/Azure DevOps and CI environments. Experience building secure software Must Have: Minimum Qualification Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Sciences, Bio-Technology, Bio-Medical, Electroni cs or Electrical Engineering from a premium institute. Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices Experience in one or more of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, Android and IOS Expert understanding of enterprise-class system concepts (Deployment, Performance, Scalability, Availability, and Security) Experience implementing Cloud and/or Hybrid-Cloud solutions a plus. Ability to review and create technical design documentation Strong understanding of testing concepts to participate in unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and performance testing Microservices architecture experience a plus Principal Working Relationship Reports to the Engineering Manager The Senior Software Engineer frequently interacts with Product Owner, Tech Lead, other developers, V&V engineers, internal partners and stakeholders concerning estimations, design, implementation or requirement clarifications, works closely with global sites.
