The total worldwide sales of Novartis Pharmaceuticals reported by your team Your role ensures financial performance through strategic analysis and optimal resource allocation in order to reimagine medicine across 70 countries. This role will help shape up the Real Estate Strategy for the organization across all regions, which in turn will enable our associates to operate with more flexibility (as per CwR). This will not only provide operational excellence, but also helps in unleashing the power of our people.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure the operational conversion of the BPA strategic goals within a dedicated area of the business. Provide management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc requests, and ensure timely and accurate information gathering. To lead Business Planning & Analysis (BPA) activities within a country (typically large revenue OR medium revenue) or Business Unit, a region or globally (depending on the division size), providing insightful and value-added analysis and decision support to the business leadership. Deliver core management reporting and financial planning processes to ensure the effective and timely delivery of insightful, recurring or ad-hoc financial information. Proactively drive performance and carry out value-added analyses on financial data: Sales trends, Functional Expenses, Other Income and Expenses, Impairment review, Management Cash Flow, Capital Investments, life time costs for projects, NPV etc -Support the organization s leadership team with financial analysis (including Risks & Opportunities analysis), cost analysis and control and drive corrective actions. -Conduct value added analyses, e.g. Resource Allocation, Profitability analyses, Benchmarking to recommend short -and long-term targets and improvement areas. -Manage and ensure the development of a team of experienced BPA professionals. -Provide leadership in preparing business cases, participating and value adding in key negotiations for mid size investments and programs/projects for the domain/sub domains Business Partnering - Partners effectively on different dimensions (local, global, within NBS, across divisions as well external stakeholders; e.g. CBRE). Very close collaboration with REFS capital planning / divestment BPA in Hyderabad - Negotiates with external as well internal stakeholder on constant basis - Evaluates risks & opportunities, proactively communicates and makes recommendations for mitigation. Follows up and drives issue resolution - Ensures business partners understand the financial processes and follow internal guidelines/SOPs Decision support for strategic real estate projects.Works in close collaboration with the Strategy and Alliance team, CBRE and REFS regions, providing financial expertise for evaluation (and execution/tracking) of REFS Investment/Divestment projectsMinimum requirements What you ll bring to the role: University degree in Finance / Economics, Chartered Accountant, equivalent degree or MBA in Finance from renowned business school 12+ years experience in controlling 2-3 years experience in managing teams Strong analytical skills, detail orientation and ability to deep dive in processes and systems.
