Amazons Employee Services Technology (ES Tech) team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help deliver next gen DALI (Disability and Leave Integration) product for our DLS customer (Disability and Leave Services). DALI products deliver leave of absence, disability and accommodation services to Amazon employees in U.S. We are expanding our current team, to enable case manager and employee self-sufficiency by providing simple, intuitive self-service tools across devices using communities, lightning, and other Salesforce next gen technologies across 60+ countries. Driven by innovation, our mission is to invent and simplify the customer experience. We will extend the overall case manager, self-service strategy and user experience for our employees and partners by integrating it with other Amazon cross systems and platforms using AWS technologies, content management system (CMS), and analytics ensuring a consistent global experience.We are looking for a strong, results-oriented Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) who is capable of designing and building automation frameworks that will help peer QAEs as well as SDEs effectively perform testing. You will be responsible to reuse the existing QA tools, build and extend the QA toolset to help deliver country enablement and new 2021 product roadmap.RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Software Development Engineers in Test, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies from front-end UI to back-end distributed web services, AWS and Salesforce platforms. You will own the design and implementation of testing tools, frameworks and automated test cases that will help in delivering end-to-end quality of DLS deliverables. Scaling, reusability, and customer experience are top priorities as the business grows. You are expected to use industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to significantly improve product quality. You should have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance, as well as knowledge of object oriented design principles. The test software you will build should expose defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and integrations. Work with Software Development Engineers (SDEs), Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and Product Managers (PMs) to understand features and determine their respective acceptance criteria. Drive the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies. Implement successful test strategies (with supporting design and methodology), data structure, and algorithm patterns. Build automation frameworks and test tools., Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field. 1+ years of experience as an SDET, developer, or strong Automation Engineer. 1+ years of experience with Selenium. 1+ year of experience working in teams following agile methodology. Basic knowledge of REST API. Same proficiency in design and coding as Software Development Engineers (SDEs), but knowledge and skills are focused on building test and tools. Proven experience creating automation frameworks and tools to support test automation. Experience with Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis. Good Analytical skills. Proficiency in, at least, one modern Object-Oriented language such as Java, C#, and knowledge of Python or Perl. Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated experience in an SDET role with strong knowledge of QA methodology, test strategy and test planning. Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, and services. Experience in distributed cross-continent load and performance testing. Knowledge of industry standard test tools and experience in developing product test harnesses and instrumenting products to gather test results. Experience with test driven development and establishing unit test infrastructures. Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
