Job Description

SLED Services ManagerPosting Location : Location Remote US VAPosting date 3 days ago(5/20/2021 9:41 AM)Job ID 86963 Job summary The Red Hat North America Public Sector (NAPS) Services team is looking for a Services Manager to join us in the Central or West Coast region, ideally near Austin, TX; Sacramento, CA; or Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will develop, cultivate, and manage relationships within key State and Local Government and Higher Education customer accounts. You will oversee the successful delivery of projects under your management from kickoff to closeout including determining scope details and monitoring the projects progress to ensure that it conforms to customer expectations and contractual agreements. To succeed in this role, you ll need to have a good foundation of technical knowledge and project and scope management expertise to successfully oversee the territory. Primary job responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective, high-impact technical and business solutions for Red Hats customers with a focus on our emerging technologies
  • Sell Red Hats solutions using the business requirements of your customers to create unique Red Hat offerings
  • Grow your territory through the development of internal business partnerships with the Field Sales team as well as alliance and partner programs
  • Accurately and consistently provide revenue and booking forecasts for your territory
  • Ensure successful delivery of all projects maintaining a high customer satisfaction level
  • Coordinate customer managers who manage consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration within your team
Within a year, you will be expected to do the following:
  • Position and manage complex, multi-product solutions using Red Hat s Open Transformation Framework
  • Grow your sales and revenue on an annual basis
  • Manage customer escalations without supervision
  • Assist with negotiating statements of work with the customers and legal teams
Required skills
  • Knowledge of technical or business consulting practices
  • Project delivery and technical implementation experience
  • Experience with internal or external field sales
  • Ability to architect complex solutions using multiple offerings and technologies
  • Solid people management skills
  • Experience adhering to open framework methodologies within project teams
  • Knowledge of application development or cloud solutions creation and delivery
  • Experience and willingness to speak at public conferences and meetups
  • Experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or engineer, preferably within a technology or consulting organization
