Job Description

    As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be part of supporting a MRGR Hub that manages the life cycle of models in the firm. This role offers an opportunity to work on a cutting-edge platform and interact with business processes of a leading global bank. The role expects an end to end involvement in supporting, understanding the components in web platform, building automation tools to reduce manual toil, adopting core SRE principles across technologies such as Java, Angular, Oracle DB, AWS, CI-CD. The presence of the team is in parts of North America, and India. collaborating on the design and implementation of the platform while working very closely with the application development groups in Corporate Technology and the platform developers.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering disciplineMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in developmentDesign, code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational workTroubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidentsEngage with development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changesIdentify application patterns and analytics in support of better service level objectivesDesign automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutionsDemonstrate ability to work independently with strong ownership, collaboration & communication skillsIntermediary understanding in at least one technology stack or programming language coding, testing, and delivering software (Java/Python/Scala)Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skillsExperience with continuous integration/development toolkits like GIT/Subversion/Jenkins/SonarStrong UNIX scripting skillsExperience in understanding deployments and CI-CD tasksHands-on knowledge on Java platformBasic SQL knowledgeHands on AWS experience / Cloud certificationsGood to HaveExperience deploying & supporting micro services, cloud-based applicationsExposure on Managing Web Application Projects,
