Job Description

*Job Purpose (In a brief, specific one or two-sentence statement, answer the questions: Why does this position exist and What is it expected to accomplish )To ensure the development of in-house IT projects are delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, in-specification and in a cost-effective manner.This Development Lead should be very familiar with the mobility application concept, be able to coach the team how product works, and share the experience and best practice.This Development Team Lead role will play a hands-on role to develop quality applications within the desired timeframes.This role will also provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship.Key Accountabilities (List the expected end results or KPIs that the job holder is expected to achieve for this job.   1. Technical Leadership:Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery and provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
  2. In-house Capability: Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
  3. People Leadership: Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
Job Duties & responsibilities (List the principal duties. Use concise statements that provide a clear understanding of the level of responsibility, complexity, creativity and analysis performed in this position.)
  • Drive BRD/FSD clarification, provide the product capabilities and advise the best practice
  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties
  • Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, testing leads, to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web-based and desktop-based business applications
  • Ensure defects are fixed during testing period
  • Conduct performance assessment and make sure the application is running healthily and efficiently
  • Ensure the solution is going live smoothly
  • Mentor and Coach junior developers to gain confidence, enhance their productivity and code quality. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
  • Plan, track, create work break down structure and ensure on time delivery for assigned for the module
  • Ensure that code delivered for testing is of acceptable quality with all required reviews and unit testing duly done. Ensure that code developed is in accordance with the established and approved architecture and design.

Required Experience (Indicate nature and extent of work experience including minimum number of years required.)
  • 7 to 10 years experience in Java and J2EE application development in a web environment
  • Min 5 years of Architecture, design experience
  • with Frameworks such as Spring, hibernate is a must
  • Good Knowledge and experience in RDBMS Oracle or SQL Server or open source like MariaDB
  • Experience in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS development
  • Experience in AngularJS highly preferred
  • Provider- AND consumer-side programming using Java Web Services and XML
  • Object Oriented Analysis & Design
  • Experience with multi-tier (App / Web / DB) server architecture
  • Exposure of CI/CD process is add-on
  • Experience in Consumer Banking is a plus
