Job Description

*Job Purpose:

  • Scrum Master should be an expert in the Scrum/Agile framework and be able to provide servant leadership to 2 to 3 scrum teams.
  • Scrum Master primary function is to be the Scrum steward, ensure that the team adhere to scrum ceremonies, practices, rules and hold the team collectively and individually accountable to meet the platform goals.
  • Ability to closely work with the Product Owner and Development Team to ensure the Product Backlog is in ready state for next 3 sprints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and good team player.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • 9+ year of total years of IT experience including Scrum/Agile
  • 3+ Years of mandatory Scrum Master experience
  • Responsible for ensuring full participation of all squad members in the delivery of value
  • Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, quarterly release planning activities
  • Responsible to identify the impediments on way for the team and works with management team and PO (if necessary) to remove the team s impediments
  • Supporting PO to build product backlog, prioritize the backlog based on value delivery
  • Provision of squad level reporting using Jira, Confluence
  • Configure and maintain an agile project management tool (Jira)
  • Application of the agile & scrum values and principles
  • Responsible for ensuring team norms are understood and followed
  • Ensures that the team is fully functional and productive
  • Shields the team from external interferences during a sprint
  • Attends Scrum of Scrums to facilitate Cross Team Synchronization
  • Actively participates in Agile communities
  • Ensures continual improvement practices are applied and agreed actions are implemented
  • Facilitate discussion to resolve conflict within the team
  • Responsible to assess the maturity level of all agile practices and enable the scrum teams to continuously improve to attain sustainable state
  • Coach the team to be empowered and self-organized
  • Embed transparency, trust and high-level collaboration into Organization culture
  • Coach and mentor other junior scrum masters
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, MCA (or equivalent master degree)
