ResponsibilitiesWindows L3 support. Handling escalated issues. Well developed, advanced knowledge and skills in providing technical infrastructure services such as installation, configuration, administration, maintenance etc. This role also handles technical enquiries and may focus on a specific area of support. He works independently to handle basic general technical expertise and to provide administrative support to the infrastructure support engineers. He is the reference point for all GIS core processes. He is technically at a proficient level in at least one technologyKey Activities / Essential Skills1. Troubleshooting escalated issues2. Identifying problem areas and finding out ways to reduce that3. Mentoring team members doing L2 support4. Coordinating with different lines of services and ensuring that SLAs are never missed.5. Documenting the changes6. Preparing Disaster Recovery documents7. Attend SRT and prepare RCA document8. All L1 and L2 activities if requiredEssential Knowledge1. Strong knowledge on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 & Windows 2003 including Active Directory.2. Should have good knowledge & troubleshooting skills on MS Clusters, Windows Load Balancing3. Excellent troubleshooting skills4. Should have expertise in backup products5. Should have worked with Windows Resource Kit & Support tools.6. Expertise in WINS, DNS, DHCP & TCP/IP protocol suite and command line utilities7. Scripting knowledge such as VB Scripts, KIX etc will be an added advantage8. Should have worked with OEM hardware (IBM/HP), & remote connectivity tools9. Should have worked with more than one patching & antivirus tools10. Knowledge of Windows Registry, including knowledge of modifying system registry to support installed applications and document configuration changes.11. Excellent written & verbal skillsDesirable Experience in supporting big global accountsExperience PreferredAt least 5+ years of actual Windows experienceEducation / Qualifications preferredMCSE, preferred Windows 2003,
