Job Description

What you ll be doing

You will be part of a World Class Container Platform team that builds and operates highly scalable Kubernetes based container platforms at a large scale for Global Technology Solutions at Verizon, a top 20 Fortune 500 company.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Kubernetes Engineer in the Container Platform Product team, pick up any tasks from the backlog and complete it end to end.
  • Building traffic routing, service discovery, secrets, and access control solutions.
  • Providing inputs in architecture and design of new features on the platform.
  • Providing good customer experience by resolving end user issues in the platform that are channeled through various mediums.
  • Willingness to work in shift timings (18x7) to support different kubernetes based container platforms in all environments (AWS, OCI & On-Prem).

What we re looking for

You ll need to have:

  • Bachelor s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of relevant experience.
  • One or more years of experience in Docker, Kubernetes and/or any other container platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, load balancing and DNS.
  • Excellent debugging skills and a flair to work with application teams.
  • Experience in Ansible playbooks, AWS, CI/CD tools and process ( Jenkins, JIRA, GitLab or Bitbucket), Python, Shell Scripts or any other scripting technologies.
  • Experience with different components of a container platform like, Logging, Monitoring, Security and SRE practices.

Even better if you have:

  • Masters degree.
  • Four or more years of work experience.
  • Certification in AWS/Cloud.
