Job Description

"Who you are As Mainframes Batch Operations specialist, you are responsible for monitoring scheduled batch jobs and related incidents to develop, resolve batch scheduling conflicts (non-application) and recommend changes to the scheduler database.   • Handle production operating system resource availability, reboot devices
  • Perform root cause analysis, resolution and / or critical issue for production systems
  • Execute recovery procedures for production operating systems, devices and reply to control commands
  • Monitor and execute production subsystem (e.g. IMS, CICS, DB2, IDMS) started tasks restarts
  • Facilitate the SWAT/Service Recovery Team meeting
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in Mainframes batch and console operations
  • Proficient in MVS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS and other Mainframe related Tools for Batch Environment
  • Experience in scheduling on-request batch jobs that require immediate execution
  • Ability to invoke resolution and restart procedures in case of failures in the batch jobs
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Working knowledge on Mainframes job scheduling tools such as CA7 / Control-M
  • You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
