Role:Head - AnalyticsReporting To:CIOAbout Organisation:Our client is an integrated global pharmaceutical company.Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the CIO, you will lead efforts to both set the vision and strategic plan for Advanced Analytics for the organization. Partner with the Business Leaders to create and execute analytics vision to improve decision support in critical organizational/cross-functional processes and execution of business strategy. Lead the team involved in design & deployment of decision support solutions built on strong advanced analytics models and a scalable data architecture. Bring in the best in class AI/ML capabilities to bear and drive forward the organizations strategic priorities of Growth, Efficiency with continuous improvement and patient centric innovation.Analytics Vision & Roadmap

• Understand the organization and Business Units strategic priorities to define a clear roadmap of analytics initiatives for the Organization and BUs
• Assess the current state of digitization and data maturity to prioritize actions (data partnerships, digitization imperatives) that create the maximum business impact
• Work with the business leaders to define and agree on success metrics and RoI on analytics initiatives with a strong Data-to-Value chain

Leading the Initiatives

• Analytics Business & Technology Architecture:Lead definition of the data and technology architecture for various Business Units and functions based on the business processes, transactional applications and integration architecture to ensure effective capture of data from organizations core business systems. Define, Build and Own the data warehouse/mart/lake architecture through strong data storage & management, data modelling, data governance frameworks
• Business Analytics Solutions:Conceptualize and build business analytics solutions that enable business insights improve the efficiency and effectiveness of critical business processes. Diagnostic analytics solutions that are built in alignment with the management review systems at three levels (MC/CxO, Business Unit Level and Operating Levels) to constantly predict and improve the business performance
• Decision Support Analytics:Design and drive initiatives to integrate advanced analytics (AI/ML) to make the core operating processes intelligent. Define high RoI strategic decision support initiatives in partnership with business leaders where advanced analytics capabilities can create exponential impact

Leading the Team and Technology Architecture:

• Responsible for leading Organisations Analytics CoE- which houses primarily three kinds of skills: Business Analytics, Data Science and Technology (Data Engineering & Visualization/Apps)
• Define the technology and data architecture roadmap & strategy that makes Organisations future ready in terms of leveraging AI/ML for business impact and competitive advantage

Organization capability development

• Create and facilitate the analytics capability vision in partnership with the HR capability teams to improve organizations analytics quotient
• Build a strong internal and external network of capabilities and capacity to execute on the vision with quality and speed
• Identify strategic partnerships that enhance our in-house capabilities(data, technology or modelling)

Measures of Success

• Business Impact(Revenue, Efficiency & Innovation metrics)as shared with the business units
• Data-to-Insights lead time with strong data architecture, capability interventions in the team
• # of Industry-first initiatives in application of advanced analytics for business impact

• Thought leadership in applying advances in AI/ML to business problems and opportunities
• Experience in buildingintelligentproducts that augment human capabilities around core operating and cross-functional processes
• Strategic thinking, innovation, strategy development and execution, planning and decision-making in a complex organization
• Ability to articulate and partner at CxO levels to embed analytics in to business strategy roadmap
• Experience building analytics teams that are aligned to delivering on business priorities

Educational Qualifications:Masters degree (Phd preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related fieldExperience Required:15+ years of experience leading analytics-led business strategy/consulting initiativesKey Personal Attributes
