FTI System Analyst

Job Description

The FTI System Analyst works on small to medium, low to medium risks, low-to medium-impact projects or portions of larger, more complex projects owned by more senior System Analysts. They defer non-routine decisions and work with the IT Manager or the project manager running the small to medium sized project.Scope: Typically works independently on medium complex projects or in conjunction with other analysts on more complex projects.What are the ongoing responsibilities Plans and executes the gathering and documentation of technical requirements including elicitation, prioritization, vetting and writing for technology driven initiatives; analyzes, designs, integrates, and implements solutions for at least one business function in an existing application(s), to include work processes, modifications, interfaces, and reports; consults with stakeholders to streamline application work processes; designs interfaces and features for an existing application(s); participates in defining technical solutions to maximize efficiencies; provides relative complexity of alternative technical solutions to a business need.Works with project teams to understand and clarify business requirements; and understands system design, application data models and entity relationships and contributes to finalizing the business requirements; documents non-functional technical requirements for assigned projects and works with development teams to ensure system meets those requirements; participates in requirements gathering and needs assessment sessions; assists project manager with completing cost benefit analysis.Provides Technical Support and service by researching, responding to, and resolving users technical and data issues; works with various technology teams to proactively address technical issues; participates in cross-functional meetings to resolve technical issues with low to medium complexity; identifies modules within an application that could be impacted in response to an existing issue or a new change; gathers and creates reports on application related information and metrics such as performance, availability and incident resolution.Coordinates implementation of changes to existing applications; documents configuration and participates in code reviews and walkthroughs; creates system test plans, test cases and scripts for a medium-large sized systems; and resolves defects opened as part of system testing and helps with triage and clarification of issues uncovered in user acceptance testing for the application development team; implements recommendations on the use of new or different technology solutions based on knowledge within the industry.What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful Bachelors Degree (preferably in Informational Technology) or equivalent experience.Typically has 2-5 years related experience.Experience:Systems support analysis.Middleware.Experience with patching methodology and configuration.Scripting and automation experience.Other Desired Qualifications:Knowledge and experience working with either of MQ, Broker, Kafka, Azure Integration.Job Expectations:Ability to manage projects.Ability to work on call as assigned.Ability to work additional hours as needed.Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment.What makes Franklin Templeton Investments unique In addition to the dynamic and professional environment at Franklin Templeton, we strive to ensure that our employees have access to a competitive and valuable set of Total Rewards the mix of both monetary and non-monetary rewards provided to you in recognition for your time, talents, efforts, and results.,
