Job Description

  • Amazons DevOps engineering support for Logistics and routing technology is responsible to own and provide operational support for last mile delivery service, mobile applications on iOS and Android to provide a reliable and efficient last mile delivery experience to customers and delivery associates worldwide.

  • The Last Mile Technology support team is looking for a DevOps Engineer who will provide front level support for all incoming production software, Infrastructure issues and Delivery Operational issues dealing with these software services and tools.
  • Your solutions will affect our customers directly! High Impact production issues often require coordination between multiple Development, Operations and IT Support groups, so you get to experience a breadth of impact with various groups. Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration, implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++ and JAVA), performing SQL queries, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
  • You should be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • You are able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You have ability to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.

  • B.Tech. in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years overall scripting/technical support experience
  • 2+ years of object oriented development experience in any programming language
  • 2+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux operating system
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL, PL/SQL, relational/non-relational data management Preferred Qualifications:
  • Other desired technical skills include Perl, Ruby and Python.
  • Experience working with relational databases, and distributed computing technologies.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve customer problems.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills related to network and GPS functionality of mobile devices.
  • Experience working with Android and iOS app development.
