Description: Education: BE / Btech Mechanical Engineering Work Location: Hyderabad Home Appliances: Design Engineer Experience band between 4 - 12 yrs Engineering experience in Domestic Appliances or commercial appliances or similar industry Candidates preferably hands on experience in NPI cycle from concept to production Products Domain: Refrigeration , Cooking ranges , Dishwashers , Laundry products , Air conditioners Sub domains: Structures , Plastics and sheet metal designers , Sealed systems , Costing Engineers Hands on experience in using Creo for designing Plastics & Sheet metal components Knowledge on drawing standards & preparing component and assembly drawings Knowledge on various component manufacturing processes Should be able to deliver designs , concepts and drawings in the given timeliness Should Costing: Immediate or 1 month notice period Experience : 5 - 8 Years of relevant experience (Preferably from home appliance manufacturing industries or similar) Qualification :B.Tech (Mechanical) Should able to execute Cost Out / Value Engineering , part qualification and Product Development activities Should have experience in Competitive Teardown , Benchmarking , LGQ , functional analysis and Should Costing Component and joint redesign skills utilizing DFM / DFA principles Experience in Identifying potential cost savings , quality enhancements , improved assembly methods and cost reduction techniques Hands on experience on Plastic & metal parts design standards , qualification & approval preferably from appliance industry Experience in costing softwares and ability to build and customize costing sheet Should be able to understand design intent , Bills Of Materials and parts lists to ensure performance is maintained whilst minimizing the cost ,
