More information is available at https://www.home.neustar .Job Requisition:R-1780 Data Analyst (Fill Date: 09/24/2018)Primary Location:HYDERABADDescriptionWe are looking for a Data Analyst to bring big data, marketing analytics, and database technology together to deliver best-in-class insights. You must be a hands-on data guru who s passionate about data, database product development, and play well with others. If you have a curiosity for different industries and companies, a passion for data analytics, and skills to create effective and repeatable data transformation and profiling methods, we would like to hear from you.Data is rarely perfect. We are looking for data analysts who will ensure we have the best data for client marketing insights. You will work in a cross functional team that spans Strategy, Data Management, Analytical Insights, and Product Solutions. You will use a keen eye, an understanding of the client s industry and business practice, and common sense.Responsibilities/Key Tasks

  • Understand and follow data processing specification
  • Process data files based on the rules, create transitional tables
  • Join tables together to create modeling dataset
  • Identify outliers, exceptions, and data inconsistencies
  • Understand and clearly communicate the data trends
  • Validate the processed data
  • Generate data dictionary
  • Data Management Data review and data consistency / quality checks.
  • Data Processing - Follow established data management best practices, process data, develop modeling stacks, and create data validation decks.
  • Documentation Document the data processing rules, mapping tables, missing value filling rules
  • Client Communication - Participate in client meetings; review data with internal stakeholders using Excel, Power-point, and other data visualization tools.
  • Methodology Development Contribute to Neustar s portfolio of internal data processing tools.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • Have 4 - 6 years experience in Data Analytics
  • Have 2+ years experience in Python and related technologies
  • Good knowledge on implementation using Python
  • Exposure to Base SAS, SAS Macros, and SQL
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Extraordinary communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to detect potential issues with data at the beginning of the process
  • Ability to visualize data to highlight our understanding of the client s business
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer engineering, applied mathematics, economics, business or statistics
  • Programming skills in Excel VBA Macro, SQL database development, or R, Java, C++ would be preferred.
