Job Description

The successful candidate will act as an integral member of the Technology & Data Protection Team to review and assess privacy risk across the worldwide commercial business technology stack. This technical PM role will be responsible for enabling a variety of important privacy assessment and mitigation activities, including platform privacy reviews and data protection governance across the business.The successful candidate will provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise related to the privacy of software and platforms across WCB. Key to this role is the technical aptitude and operational ability to leverage a risk-based mindset to highlight risks and impacts. Also critical are proficient program management skills, the ability to influence without authority, to work in a rapidly changing ecosystem, and be able to represent your work to partners and leadership.Our team values collaboration, and proactive sharing of learnings to help make our whole team better. • Perform thorough, documented privacy reviews of applications and platforms, applying core privacy policies defined by the enterprise.
• Develop and maintain privacy guidance documentation, enhance the privacy program, and assist with escalations/inquiries from constituent organizations.
• Design and develop privacy assessment capabilities for the Application Risk Program as it applies to applications and services built by or for WCB to achieve clear and measurable outcomes for the business. This includes designing improvements to personal data scrubbers and anonymization technology in the ecosystem.
• Lead cross-organizational teams to define privacy standards and protection mechanisms in the software and platform space.
• Drive programmatic change across WCB to improve the overall risk posture of our technology stack
• Build and nurture positive working relationships with stakeholders and leadership, and be engaged as a trusted advisor
• Consult on Privacy Control options once gaps are identified in the data protection process. Coaches application owners in planning, defining and implementing privacy related controls in their applications.
• Actively create opportunities for synergies across customer, partner, and internal groups to drive long-term technology solutions and shared roadmaps in the application risk space.
• Develop Reporting related to security and privacy controls and processes
• Deliver the privacy strategy & update policies for apps & tools, including the path to data minimization and retirement.
• Work closely with various Engineering organizations and application owners to support programmatic initiatives
• Maintain hours of core availability between 14:00 and 17:00 UTC.

• 6+ years of combined Risk Management, Privacy, legal, and/or software project management work experience.
• 2+ years experience supporting privacy evaluations or reviewing data privacy controls in a technology organization.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate and balance diverse perspectives to address complex business issues.
• Demonstrated ability to review privacy issues in applications and platforms and identify compliant mitigation strategies.
• Ability to collaborate with other professionals, remove barriers to progress, and lead cross organizational teams to accomplish complex technical objectives.

• Experience with global privacy regulations, such as GDPR, GLBA, or consumer privacy protection regulations.
• Understanding of contemporary cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, Saas) with emphasis on Microsoft technologies
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, or Computer Security, or JD or 5 years direct experience in the field.
