Job Description

Position : Backend Developer The Role At nSpira we want to develop an ecosystem of edtech projects to dominate the personal growth market in the education sector. Being one of our talented Backend developers, youll have an opportunity to learn and grow, and be a key part of creating and deploying micro-services. Engineering Culture

  • We run functional teams based on the SCRUM methodology and are a fairly Agile environment, with 2 week sprints and teams with a minimum of 3 developers (preferably 4) plus a Platform Owner.
  • Sprints cannot be interrupted and work is planned out well in advance to keep stress down to a minimum.
Other stuff we do/you will encounter
  • Line by line code reviews for every pull request on Gitlab, this maintains code quality and keeps everyone in the loop & learning.
  • At least 2 people working together on every project (collaborating not pairing) Building the microservices at scale using various data-sources(Postgres,Redis, Cassandra,MongoDB).
Requirements
  • Hands on experience on ExpressJs(Node), Python GCP/AWS preferred. Experience designing and implementing backend services and REST APIs Experience with RDBMS/Document datastore like Postgres, MongoDB Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience in creating the side-scripts and interacting with the support/testing teams when required.
  • Comfortable and willing to learn as you go. Theres probably pieces of our stack you havent worked with before, and thats okay as long as youre confident enough to learn as necessary.
