Strong understanding of autonomous vehicle software architecture. This includes knowledge of perception, data fusion, and controls. The ideal candidate will have experience in software design methodologies. This position offers the opportunity to provide conceptual direction and to participate in a growing active safety & autonomous vehicle team. The role will involve all levels of product development from participating in strategic planning for the group, supplier / partner selection, initial concept creation and stages of development through to production launch. It will involve interfacing with a variety of groups including applications, core software, and systems engineering. KEY DESCRIPTION POINTS: 1. Key understanding of C/C++ programming languages 2. Experience using real-time operating systems (RTOS), including Greenhills Integrity and QNX 3. Ability to communicate effectively with different team members from the applications, core software, and systems engineering teams 4. Understanding of model based methodologies for code generation and documentation purposes 5. Key concepts of interface and component definition 6. The ability to think critically at a high-level and communicate across teams and leadership 7. Establish software architecture for active safety and autonomous vehicle eco system JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. 5+ years of embedded C/C++ 2. Proven track record of delivering software architectures 3. Knowledge of active safety sensor (camera, radar, lidar, ultra-sonic) 4. Functional Safety Certification is a plus (ISO-26262) 5. SysML & UML Experience is a requirement 6. Knowledge of AUTOSAR Environment & Tools 7. Follow a defined software process to ensure good quality and documentation as per Automotive SPICE or CMMI requirements. 8.
