Job Description

State Street cyber architecture & engineering is looking for outstanding individuals with excellent intellectual and analytical capabilities, entrepreneurial problem-solving skills, strong communications, and influencing capabilities. A robust strategy, architecting zero trust building blocks, deployment, and a passion for effecting change across the organization.This role will have a broad range of responsibilities and application security, SDLC reviews, design, redesign for scale, and leading shift left strategy executionOther key relationships:

  • Cyber Transformation, GRC Office
  • Collaboration with SDLC and product leads across state street business units.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Application security design, SDLC security gates governance, and build zero trust building blocks to enhance end-to-end layered security maturity.
  • Be part of global MFA, Identity housekeeping, and cloud identity management.
  • Build robust security controls validation framework
  • Thought leadership and Advisory
    • Be part of long-term security strategy development and execution.
    • Define global application security non-negotiable standards to be reused as building blocks for various components.
    • Exercise experience and influence to make well-informed decisions for build vs. buy debate.
    • Mentor, coach, and guide junior talent to help create a pool of healthy subject matter experts and solution architects pipeline.
    • Work as a hands-on technical leader with a good understanding of cloud migrations security challenges.
    • Design and implement seamless built-in security controls, validation, and lifecycle gates
  • Project leadership
    • Oversee implementation of multiple key initiatives, working closely with line management responsible for executing change; define associated change management imperatives and required resources.
    • Work closely with functional areas to develop plans and materials related to standard security NFR, approval workflows, and validation processes.
    • Manage application security governance processes, ensuring regular communication and coordination of initiatives across the cross-functional teams.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor s or MS degree in engineering is strongly preferred.
  • 15 years experience with
    • Access controls using Active Directory, AAD, and IDP
    • IAM, Identity management
    • Secure coding practices, CICD code analysis tools, WAF, RASP
    • Containerization and its security challenges
    • Expertise with Splunk, other public cloud log aggregation tools
    • NIST security compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing large-scale change initiatives exhibit resilience and tenacity to keep stakeholders energized and committed to journey throughout the change lifecycle, managing fatigue, and sticking with the change to realize expected business benefits.
  • Strong communication skills to promote critical wins and new behaviors throughout the organization and regulators
  • Collaborative leadership and work style with the ability to effectively interact with and earn the trust of peers, development teams across the organization
  • Project and process management skills, including proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with a keen sense of ownership and commitment to work and passion for delivering results. .
