Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions. Work with Data Standards Governance groups in line functions to develop conceptual, logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy. Working experience in Graph database modelling is preferred. Working experience in Semantic-web or ontology applications using Resource Description Framework (RDF), RDFS, or the Web Ontology Language (OWL) and similar modern reasoning and knowledge representation (KR) framework such as SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organization System) Develop information models for data exchange Maintain, optimize, and update logical and physical data models to enhance reusability. Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts. Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness. Analyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions. Review modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance. Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required. Undertake programming of modules, packages to support business processes on a given platform/application Drive innovation ideas / discussions and Proof of concept Provide input to project proposals related to new technologies/innovationsMinimum requirements Minimum requirementsWhat you ll bring to the role: University degree in Computer science or equivalent field of study Minimum of 4+ years of data modelling experience 2 years of experience in delivering IT solution in Pharma 2 years of experience in the areas of any of the following: Master Data Management, Reference Data, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Governance capabilities 2+ years of experience in any other programming language Python, Java, R Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and oral communication skills Nice to haves: 4+ Years Oracle PL/SQL coding experience High-level understanding of Web technologies and multi-tier application architecture Exposure to industry standards such as CDISC, HL7, BRIDG.Why consider Novartis 799 million.
