Our Sales and Use Tax Compliance Analysts are responsible for providing professional services relating to state and local sales and use tax ( SUT ). This includes gathering and integrating sales tax data , processing notices , generating SUT returns on a monthly basis , preparing reconciliation reports , review funding requests , maintaining data integrity in proprietary applications , communicating with clients and taxing authorities and monitoring administrative projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to effectively communicate with team , clients , state officials Manage high volume compliance portfolio Review and process returns , notices and reconciliations Utilize Vertex Software application to manage data Assist in creating an internal process for the Sales tax compliance service in our India office REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor s degree or 3 years of related work experience Ability to prioritize tasks , work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment A critical thinker who can quickly evaluate and analyze companies and financial information Excellent analytical and quantitative skills , as well as strong writing and communication skills Computer proficiency and ability to maximize applications such as Microsoft Word , PowerPoint and Excel Strong analytical , comprehension and problem - solving skills , as well as strong verbal and written communication skills High level of attention to detail Leadership experience and strong personal integrity Ability to work effectively with senior professionals in an engagement team Ability to master new tasks quickly , prioritize tasks , work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results Ability and willingness to work long hours and on weekends as needed In order to be considered for a position at Duff & Phelps , you must formally apply via careers.duffandphelps.jobs Duff & Phelps is committed to equal opportunity and diversity , and recruits people based on merit.
