Job Description

.

The Emerging Technology role provides operational enhancements, maintenance and support of applications supporting Data Scientists, Modelers and Analysts. This includes providing platform security management, application and underlying infrastructure support (OS, Storage, BIA Applications, Web and Database) and ensuring processes are aligned with tactical and strategic initiatives. The role serves as liaison between the infrastructure support teams, risk partners and business sponsors or stakeholders to ensure appropriate delivery of technology solutions in accordance with business requirements and objectives. Emerging Technology role also ensures the platform is positioned for compliance with IT policies and standards and agreed upon service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the overall health of the application
  • Follow life-cycle oriented processes and procedures
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
  • Applies maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required
  • Designs solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform
  • Designs, implements, and maintains platform security
  • Performs platform capacity planning and management Serves as an escalation point for production and/or platform issues Establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of the platform

Requirements:

Experience Range : 1 -2 years Education: BE / MCA/MBA Certifications If Any : NA

Mandatory Skills :

  • Drive ROI for the business by managing an end to end solution that requires an analytic tool.
  • Be able to translate a customer business needs to a specific analytic solution and technical requirements.
  • Be a thought-leader in the area of analytics/data science with respect to entity resolution as it pertains to the customers mission.
  • Be able to generate written documentation of all work performed and utilize Project Management techniques and tools (JIRA) to plan and monitor project progress
  • Have effective problem solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Desired candidate will have 2+ years in an analytical role

Desired Sills:

  • Extensive experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, software installation, new builds and deployments
  • Understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including the principles of network routing and client/server programming
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts and best practices
  • Design and architecture of web-based applications and server technologies (Linux), Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.), Storage (EMC, NetApp, etc.), Network (DNS, F5, Load Balancers, etc.), Security (Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, etc.).
  • Experience with the following technologies: Container (docker, swarm, kubernetes) o Web (JAVA, Web Services, AJAX, Javascript, HTML, XML) o Server technologies (Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Weblogic, Websphere)
  • Ability to multi-task and address complex support issues in a mixed technology environment
  • Works effectively in both team member and individual contributor roles
  • Experience and understanding of Business Intelligence and Analytic products, not limited to: SAS, DataRobot, Open R, Python, Tableau, and Free Open Source Software.

Work Timings: 12.30 PM to 09.30 PM IST (Need to be flexible and candidate may work in the morning shift i.e., 06:30 AM 03:30 PM as per business needs)
