Amazon s Transportation Risk and Compliance Team (TRC) protects Amazon s various transportation businesses by implementing scalable risk management solutions that foster continued business growth. TRC team identifies and mitigates risk in a rapidly growing and complex, global environment. To support the business, our primary mission is to perform independent and objective, risk-based assessments of Amazon business partners and business units activities and related controls with the goal of improving operations, compliance, and risk management. TRC is seeking a high-performing Risk Analyst to join the team to manage critical and high impact risks. As a Risk Analyst, you will extract and consolidate data, conduct analyses, and provide insights to leadership. You will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against organizational standards. The successful candidate will be a customer-obsessed self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and with an ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.The TRC team ensures that all Amazon transportation business units meet the regulations. In order to ensure an effective program is in place, it is necessary to validate each business has identified their regulatory responsibilities and established effective processes, controls, and self-testing to understand current status of compliance and identify gaps. This team will also assist in risk ranking and mitigation of gaps identified throughout the organization.Amazon is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minority / Women / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation / AgeKey job responsibilities Conducting descriptive analysis, extracting insights, and performing impact analysis when needed Building and maintaining tools. Validating data to ensure accuracy and performing data quality checks and fixes (e.g., discovering inconsistencies in the data, performing data cleansing, and identifying/ implementing safeguards to improve the data quality) Being a subject matter expert on TRC risk management operational data and audit tools, and providing consultations and feedback while working collaboratively with teams Collaborating with business intelligence engineers and analysts in support of the TRC centralized operation KPI metrics reporting and analysis, Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields 5+ years experience in risk management or related experience 5+ years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Advanced user of Excel with application of special features (e.g., Pivot Tables, Index/Match, VLOOKUP, macros. Etc.) Strong data analytics skills, including use of SQL queries, Amazon Web Services tools (e.g., Redshift), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Amazon Quicksight), Power Query Proven problem solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication (written/oral), and stake holder/partner management skills Highly analytical and capable of managing programs through metrics Ability to find simple, intuitive, impactful metrics to drive program results Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematic and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment Understanding of data warehousing and data modelling Demonstrable excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment. Continuous improvement background (i.e. 6-sigma, ISO, Total Quality, etc.) Ability to drive successful partnerships with external teams to execute tactic initiatives Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines Able to work effectively with multiple teams Excellent attention to details to identify gaps and opportunities in procedures, and drive innovative, efficient solutions
