He shall be the in- charge of the construction supervision of project stretch that has tunnel and shall coordinate with all other experts of the construction projects and shall report to the Team Leader and officers of PIU as per the delegation established. He shall be directly responsible for regulating the construction process i.e. various activities associated with tunnel construction like earthwork, Sub- base/ base courses, bituminous pavement, boring and drilling works proposed for being carried out under Stipulated pecifications/ manuals etc.He should have the following qualification / experience.Essential Qualifications.Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.Professional Experience of 15 years in supervision of Tunnel Projects.At least 12 years experience as Resident Engineer/ Assistant Resident Engineer/ Project Director/ Project Manager/ Superintending Engineer or equivalent/ Executive Engineer or equivalent on similar construction work/ Independent Engineering project.Should have handled at least 3 Tunnel projects of about 10 km each and one should be 4- Lane.Not more than 65 years of age.Preferential Qualifications.Post Graduate Degree in Transportation/ Tunnel Engineering.International Experience of Construction Supervision on Tunnel Project.,
