Primary Responsibilities: Assume responsibility for all department functions including: o Staffing o Training o Work assignments o Excellence of work output o Coordination with Product Groups teams o Management communications o Employee morale and effectiveness o Performance management o Understanding and translating internal customer requirements effectively and efficiently into work assignments Take full responsibility for quality and timeliness of deliverables for Engineering teams Maintain and track program schedule and send periodic reports to engineering and program management teams on productivity, utilization and resource planning Take full ownership of deliverables and work with Product groups in getting resolution to open issues and escalate to next level engineering management for delays impacting program schedule Mandatory skills required Skilled in managing Engineering Services team, must have managed team of 15-20staff (6-8yrs experience in managing) Experience in effectively handling drafting and Engineering change managements teams Experience in E&O investigations, BoM comparisons, product configurations issues. Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data. Experience in situational leadership, conducting appraisal feedback and motivating team in achieving best in class results Desirable Skill: Exposure to Project Management tools and techniques, MS Project and preparation of Gantt charts Ability and skill to drive data analysis, RCCA, investigations on non-conformance reports Passion for developing employees skills and ability and desire to mentor junior personnel Knowledge on warranty recovery, Customer SCAR s Ability to drive productivity databases and Microsoft Apps Requirements Educational Qualification: B.EB.TechM.EM.Tech (Mechanical Production Industrial) Additional information People management skill is mandatory. Exposure in drafting and change management.,
