Job Description

    • Produce reports for Legal Entities, regulators and internal requirements.
    • Perform compliance checks, prepare Restricted and Issuer list for third party managers
    • Review reports produced by other members in the team and provide feedback.
    • Attend queries from Fixed Income team, Risk Management and other internal teams.
    • Plan, organize, and prioritize assignments to ensure quality and on-time delivery of various investment reports to different functions/teams.
    • Learn to develop basic reports in Qlikview and provide reporting solutions according to the business requirements. .
    • Produce Investment and compliance Reports for various asset classes.
    • Maintain logs, i.e. issue log, work log and other trackers.
    • Proactively communicate challenges to the stakeholders. Collaborate and find solutions.
    • Maintain books (Book keeping) for non fixed income assets.
    • Work with Investment accounting, Finance and Fixed Income teams to understand reporting requirements, design solutions and resolve queries.
    • Troubleshoot complex excel based reports and re-engineer reports when required.
    • Provide support to the investment operations team by being an effective back up and perform tasks subject to the requirements.
    • Perform other duties as and when assigned by the manager and help manager achieve the desired goal for a period.
    You will report to Senior Manager, Investment and Performance Reporting Operations (India), *We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
    • A bachelors/ Master s degree is required; a concentration in accounting, finance or economics is preferred. An MBA, CFA or related degree preferred.
    • Must have in depth understanding of various instruments like fixed income and equity securities, and ability to classify them correctly according to the reporting different reporting requirements.
    • Must have ability to switch priorities and flexibility to work with reporting and data managers is required. Must have excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to troubleshoot a complex query related to Portfolio and Performance management, Fixed Income and Market Risk and other investment related areas.
    • Working experience with a multi national company is preferrable.
    • Hands on experience of MS Excel is must to have, hands on experience of Qlikview (reporting tool) and VBA (basic or advanced) will be preferable. Skills are required for trouble shooting queries and report building for internal and external users within Qlikview environment.
    • Minimum 4 to 5 years of working experience with Banking, Investment Banking, Portfolio and asset Management or from any financial services company
    • Good communication skills required to interact with internal colleagues and external vendors to resolve queries or completing a task in hand like creating new reporting schema, implementing reporting changes, transitioning/migrating reporting from one vendor to another
    • Must have strong analytical skills to quickly understand, absorb and implement business intelligence tools in day to day work
    • Knowledge of reference data, strategic asset allocation, Hedge Fund and other alternative investment background would be a plus with innate quality of efficient time/task management skills.
