  • Responsible for oversight, direction and supervision of the day-to-day operations for a sub process across function/region: Corporate, System Fund InterCompany, Capital, Finance – India, Germany, France, Philippines, Japan, etc.
  • The role involves direct responsibility for the management of a regional/global team that provides accounting and/or analytical services and support in line with Service Level Agreements.
Key Metrics:
  • Process: Responsible for periodic review of team operations.
  • Compliance: Adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk areas.
  • Efficiency: Actively identify, investigate and implement process improvements.
  • Team: Coach and develop team members

What we offer Required Education, Experience, Technical Skills and Knowledge: Education:
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Major accounting qualification such as CA/CMA/CS preferred
Experience:
  • 8 years progressive work-related experience in accounting and finance with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the role
  • 3 year of demonstrated experience of people management.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to drive process efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles / IFRS / Local GAAP
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of PeopleSoft/Essbase or other enterprise financial systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Sound knowledge of IHG policies and guidelines impacting process.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating and developing people to maximize engagement
  • Demonstrated proficiency in recognizing and resolving problems or inconsistencies in transactions and systems with customer focus.
Decision Rights: Owns Decision Making Responsibilities (Decision Rights)
  • Ultimately accountable for all aspect of service delivery in process – quality, efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, risk and customer experience
  • Significant impact for ensuring efficient procedures are utilized and actionable plans are identified to achieve month/year close related compliances.
