Job Description

  • This position is responsible to manage and administer Linux and VMAare with support of daily operations and helps to develop strategies to improve availability and utilization of Oracle Database Environment of multinational clients.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ Years as System Administrator.
EDUCTION /CERTIFICATIONS
  • MCA, BE, MSc IT
ESSENTIAL SKILL SETS
  • Well worse with OS like Linux 6 and above releases and worked with Windows server system as well. Hands on experience with managing VWWare and Storage administration and worked on Nutanix, CISCO and IBM hardware/storage.
  • Must worked on larger environment and supported multiple server and comfortable to work on heterogeneous tasks of System Admin with Virtualization, Storage and managing data centers.
  • Well experienced Linux administration having complete knowledge on all area of server Installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, migration, performance tuning, backup/restore and recovery options, user and security administration.
  • Experience in planning, administering and supporting production and non- production server and capacity planning, technical infrastructure design.
  • Thorough understanding of Database s logical and physical structure.
  • Well experienced on Linux upgrade patching, server security implementation, server hardening and able to troubleshoot adhoc problems on live system having large user base.
  • Well experience in server tuning and administering.
  • Experienced on heterogeneous operating system environment on Linux and UNIX and Windows server system having high end configuration and mission critical application deployed.
  • Working on Cloud Environment will be an added advantage
  • Hands- on experience with Provisioning tools like Terraform and Cloudbot is required.
  • Well experienced in microservice infrastructure management using Dockers and Kubernetes expected with patching / upgrading knowledge as well.
  • Well worse with Automation and Standardization tools like Puppet, Jenkin and Shell scripting (bash / PowerShell) and interest in automation tasks. Well worse with Backup and Recovery concept and practices, and well aware about recovery scenarios using enterprise backup tool like CommVAULT
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATION WITH JOB RESPONSIBILITY
  • Good and quality interpretation, written, communication and documentation skill.
  • Able to support 24/7 in critical situation where availability is matter.
  • Ready to work during planed weekend support. Ready to work out- of- hours maintenance and on call support.
Technical Experience/Skills Preferred
  • Linux, VMware, Windows Domain, Backup Recovery, Performance Tuning AD Integration with Windows and Linux Well experienced in Clustering, High Availability Solutions Backup, Recovery, Hardening, Upgradation Migration Linux / VMWare Performance Tuning Added advantage if candidate is good in shell scripting and automation tasks, terraform, Jenkins and Puppet.
