Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ARC GIS Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, administration, and optimization of our ARC GIS infrastructure. As an ARC GIS Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our ARC GIS environment.Responsibilities:1. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of ARC GIS software and related applications.2. Designing, implementing, and managing ARC GIS databases to support spatial data analysis and mapping.3. Monitoring and optimizing ARC GIS server performance to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.4. Implementing security measures to protect sensitive spatial data and ensuring compliance with industry standards.5. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to ARC GIS software, databases, and server infrastructure.6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement spatial analysis workflows and geoprocessing tools.7. Providing technical support and training to end-users on ARC GIS software and applications.8. Conducting regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical spatial data.9. Keeping up-to-date with the latest ARC GIS technologies and best practices to continuously improve our GIS infrastructure.10. Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.Requirements:1. Bachelors degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an ARC GIS Administrator or in a similar role.3. Proficiency in installing, configuring, and administering ARC GIS Server, ARC GIS Desktop, and ARC GIS Online.4. Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.5. Experience with scripting languages such as Python for automation and customization of ARC GIS workflows.6. Knowledge of web mapping technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and REST APIs.7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.9. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.10.
