Job Description

    Lead the business partnering role from strategic procurement to engage and support both internal and external customers. To drive the Strategic sourcing initiatives for the discovery services department. Responsible to manage the end-to-end process of the source to Contract to manage Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Safety in Strategic sourcing.Key Responsibilities: 1. Build Subject matter expertise and drive the strategic procurement and inventory management process by working with all stakeholders to maximize the inventory and sourcing productivity. 2. Conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, including fact-based negotiations (supplier and industry analysis. benchmarks, cost structure analysis) and ensuring process compliance and high levels of customer satisfaction 3. Defining supplier management strategy, aligning it with overall Goal and executing strategic supplier relationship management with key suppliers. 4. Regular meeting, interaction, and communication with operating unit to bring in operational excellence, faster delivery, and overall efficiency in the strategic procurement business partnering 5. Build overall expertise around the Commodity by developing supply-demand market intelligence, technology trends, competitive intelligence, Price benchmarking etc. 6. Identifying supplier risk areas and quantifying risk exposure, and executing risk mitigation actions 7. The Category Manager is accountable for the direct management and cost target achievement for the sub-categories under management 8. Managing internal and external customers with regular MIS, Communication, and meetings 9. Develop strong relationships with all the stakeholders, Manage analytics, preparation of reports for decision making10: Understanding and demonstrating responsibility for the safety of self & colleagues by following all safety protocols provided by Syngene11: Adherence to all environment, health, and safety (EHS) policies & standards at all times in the workplace12: Wearing all PPE as required.13: Adherence to all procedures related to Syngene s data integrity policies14: Compliance with Syngene s s quality standards at all times. Educational Qualification: 1. B. Tech/ BE/ B.Pharma 2. MBA is an advantageTechnical/Functional Skills
