Senior Corporate Legal SpecialistLocation New DelhiPosting date 1 day ago(3/19/2021 4:26 AM)Job ID 85682 Job summary The Red Hat Legal team is looking for a talented Senior Corporate Legal Specialist to join our Subsidiary Management team in New Delhi, India. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to Red Hat s ongoing success as a global technology leader by helping the company expand and maintain its global business of approximately 70 entities in 40+ countries. You will have the opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to our global business and will quickly become an integral member of our Legal team. This role is ideal for a candidate with excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment. You ll need to be someone who is meticulously organized, pays attention to detail, thrive on quickly learning new and complex concepts, and enjoys interacting with people from different functional and geographical backgrounds. As a Senior Corporate Legal Specialist, you ll need to have excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues and outside counsel around the world about complex issues in an accurate, concise, and thorough manner. Primary job responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and organize corporate documents like board of director and shareholder resolutions and annual corporate filings
  • Track compliance deadlines; provide oversight of required corporate filings
  • Ensure that corporate documents, including global reports and filings comply with internal policies and U.S. compliance requirements
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company law requirements in 40+ countries
  • Ensure that internal policies and U.S. compliance requirements are met by global entities
  • Coordinate with external service providers like local law firms, local accounting firms. and internal customers located in various time zones.
  • Maintain the entity management database and corporate records
Required skills
  • Ability to read and absorb complex information quickly and accurately
  • Ability to maintain appropriate level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of an organization, including executive team
  • Bachelors degree from four-year college or university
  • Prior work experience in a corporate secretarial or compliance function for a global company with U.S. headquarters.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology
  • Familiarity with Google docs, spreadsheets, and word processing programs
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
  • Enjoy organizing things and following instructions
  • Professional writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new online tools and troubleshoot with support from IT
The following are considered a plus:
  • Experience living abroad or interacting with people from different cultures
  • Experience with data management
