Job Description

Provide technical credibility to our Sales team
Identify appropriate technologies to solve customer problems
Scope, design, develop, test, and present proof-of-value environments
Coach customers on using Red Hats technologies
Provide feedback to the Product Management and Engineering teams on the direction of our offerings and customer applicability of features
Assist sales teams in answering technical questions, possibly in the form of requests for proposal (RFPs) or requests for information (RFIs)
Contribute internally and externally through participation in various knowledge-sharing forums, workshops, reference architectures, etc.

Required skills

Formal education in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
Solid Linux system administration skills; Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)-level skills or equivalent certifications are a plus
Deep understanding of containers, Kubernetes, and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
Familiarity with agile software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts and production support methodologies including DevOps and site reliability engineering (SRE)
Practical experience deploying workloads at scale both on-premise, e.g., Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Kubernetes, etc., and in the cloud, e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Engine (GCE), Microsoft Azure, or IBM Cloud
Working knowledge of a variety of programming languages and frameworks, e.g., Quarkus, Spring, Vert.x, etc.
Working knowledge of microservices, Jenkins, or Tekton continuous delivery (CD) pipelines and serverless technologies like Knative
Experience with datacenter or cloud automation tools and processes, including Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Python
Support customer meetings through presentations, e.g., whiteboarding or formal presentations, demonstrations, and explanations of the value of Red Hat s technologies, open platforms, and architected solutions
Initiative and ability to quickly embrace and understand new technologies; ability to incorporate new information and understand complex topics and to pass this on to others
Willingness to travel up to 50%
