Job Description

*Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred., * Senior Project Manager, OAL, Technical ServicesOracle Applications Labs (OAL) is an IT organization within Oracle. OAL runs the applications that run Oracle. Within OAL, the Technical Services team manages the strategic, cross functional technology initiatives that enables Oracle to run its business applications across the globe. Currently, the primary focus of the Technical Services organization is to successfully move Oracle applications to Cloud.The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for driving projects to successful completion:Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads execution of multiple projects including developing, managing and tracking technical execution plans.
  • Drives cross-functional execution of projects, across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinates activities across functions and groups in compliance to the project lifecycle.
  • Works effectively with TPMs to understand progress and resolve potential blockers across matrix organization.
  • Strong understanding of project methodologies and tools including Agile, Jira, Slack, Confluence etc.
  • Creates, optimizes, and drives plans using the Project Life Cycles & Agile methodology.
  • Effectively adapts and modifies plans based on changing data or conditions.
  • Ensures that projects track to schedule and scope.
  • Learns from project retrospective and applies the learning for future projects.
  • Aligns project teams with the business objectives and understands the inter-dependencies across cross-functional teams.
  • Frames communication and discussions for the intended audience, with appropriate context and line of sight.
Required Experience/Skills: BS/BA degree required; MS/MIS or MBA is a plus PMI PMP, CSM, Agile, Scrum or similar certification/training is a plus 5-7 years of overall technology implementation experience with a minimum of 3 years in a project management or development leadership capacity. Proven success with consistently delivering cross-functional, technology projects (product or IT) for large technology companies. Strong understanding and implementation experience of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.Understanding of Cloud concepts along with experience in driving Cloud project is a plus. Experience with working in a global project teams Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills A learning mindset with willingness to try new approaches, innovate, and improve Experience with Oracle applications or other enterprise applications is a plusTools: Microsoft Office (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) JIRA, Confluence, Slack
