Online & Retail Transportation Manager

Job Description

As the Online & Retail Transportation Manager you will play a critical role in the supply chain and act as a key representative for our internal and external partners. Developing and applying innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the H&M Transportation network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and conscious manner.

You design and develop the Retail & Online Transportation infrastructure, maximizing operational excellence, quality, and efficiency in a sustainable way for our customers, in all brands and channels. With the objective of improving cost, service and flexibility for the business. You are responsible for the local transportation contracts; you lead and plan your local market tenders and contract negotiations accordingly. Always demonstrating strong leadership and creating a continuous improvement culture across the wider team, focusing on team engagement, development, and performance.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• As the owner of local transportation contracts implement the Global transportation tender approach and plan your local market tenders and contract negotiations accordingly.

• Actively reduce our overall environmental impact and secure that our transportation setup has a lower CO2 emission than industry average through tender process and collaboration with current transporters.

• Follow up on all internal and outbound transportation KPIs including 3PL contractual service level agreements to achieve the best customer lead times.

• Follow up on volumes and the associated transportation cost together with regular budget analysis throughout the market to identify trends early enough to take appropriate actions

• Take ownership of and follow up on the local transportation budget and KPI s for both 3P & H&M run operations. Improve cost per piece by driving an optimum set up focused on finding synergies across all brands / channels / projects.

• Inform and demand that all local transportation roles collect & receive all the necessary planning information from local warehouse teams.

• Be the owner of key local vendor relationships and pass identified synergies across multiple markets to regional transport manager.

• Ensure we always have enough capacity in our transportation network.

• Ensure customer transportation lead times are met and implement ways to improve by ensuring you manage TSP s effectively.

• Ensure an active and realistic business continuity plan is in place at all times that has the flexibility to cope with different scenarios.

• Constantly increase knowledge of B2B and B2C through active knowledge sharing with transporters and colleagues within your market and region.
