Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a large team of scientists (including Ph.Ds) to support multiple client collaborations in the areas of Protein Sciences, Antibody Discovery / Characterization, Cell Engineering and Molecular Biology
Provide guidance to the team both at scientific and non-scientific aspects and strive to build / maintain a high performing team
As part of the Discovery Biology Leadership team, take responsibility for / contribute towards revenue generation, long-term strategy, innovation and new capability development
Seamlessly collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions including Business Development and Project Management to enable projects / collaborations from proposals to successful completion

Educational Qualification:

Ph.D with 15+ years of post - Ph.D and relevant industry experience

Work Experience:

Experience in R&D roles with CRO and/or other Life Science setting
Experience managing and developing people

Technical / Functional Skills:

Expert knowledge in one or more of these areas: Protein Sciences, Antibody Discovery, Cell Engineering

Behavioral / Managerial skills:

Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously requiring frequent communication, organizing / time management and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, analytical and scientific project management skills
Strong leadership, problem solving and team building abilities
Sensitivity to diverse cultures
Ability to independently manage a team of scientists
Demonstrated ability to work well with people from different disciplines
Ability to work with senior management with professionalism and discretion
Flexibility and adaptability to deal with ambiguous and dynamic situations
