As the Head of R&D Friction, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our friction materials research and development initiatives. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to drive innovation, improve product performance, and maintain our competitive edge in the market.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership:Develop and implement a comprehensive R&D strategy for friction materials in alignment with the companys goals and objectives.Provide visionary leadership to the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.Establish clear goals, priorities, and performance metrics to measure the success of R&D. initiatives.Technical ExpertiseStay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in friction materials science.Lead research efforts to develop new friction materials formulations, processes, and technologies.Drive continuous improvement in product performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.Cross-functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with other departments such as Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales to ensure seamless integration of R&D efforts with overall business operations.Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and translate insights into actionable R&D strategies.Project ManagementOversee the planning, execution, and delivery of R&D projects within budget and timeline constraints.Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to maximize productivity and innovation.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance requirements in all R&D activities.Talent DevelopmentRecruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and accountability.Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members to enhance their technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.QualificationsB.E , B.Tech / Ph.D. degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in research and development of friction materials or related fields, with a proven track record of innovation and leadership.Strong technical expertise in friction materials science, including knowledge of material properties, formulation techniques, testing methodologies, and manufacturing processes.Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.Exceptional Problem-solving Abilities, Strategic Thinking, And Decision-making Skills.Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Prior experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead cutting-edge R&D initiatives in the field of friction materials, drive innovation, and contribute to the success and growth of our company,
