Welcome to All India Football Federation Home Employment Listing Employment Details Employment Details General Manager (GM) Strategy and Operations General Manager (GM) Strategy and Operations General Secretary, All India Football Federation Position Description Reporting to the General Secretary (GS), the main responsibility of the GM, Strategy and Operations (GM- S&O;) will be to operationalize the GSs vision vis- - vis the organization. The GM- S&O; will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all departments of the AIFF. He/ She will provide leadership to the AIFF strategic planning process and will implement new strategic initiatives. In addition, the GM- S&O; will provide coordination for the AIFF senior management team; serve as liaison to the AIFFs partners; and work with the AIFFs Executive Committee to keep them abreast of relevant strategies and challenges. The GM- S&O; will assist the GS and partner heads of all departments of the AIFF to jointly develop, implement and manage the operational aspects of the Strategic Plan and annual budget. Finally, the GM- S&O; will cultivate existing relationships with various external partners of the AIFF including but not limited to state associations, clubs, commercial partners, sponsors, AFC, FIFA and various government bodies. In summary, GM- S&O; will play the role of an executor of strategies developed in conjunction with the top management team of AIFF as well as act as a change agent to lead organizational transformation as envisaged in the Strategic Plan of the AIFF. Further, the GM- S&O; will be given clear decision rights and requisite authority to enable him to perform effectively, his role as mentioned in this job description. Responsibilities Play a significant role in long- term planning, with the view to delivering operational excellence. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in line with AIFFs vision and Strategic Plan specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, day- to- day processes and organizational planning. Assist the GS in creating annual and monthly organizational budget and monitoring cash flows in conjunction with the Head of Finance, manage effectively within the approved budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered. Ensure the continued financial viability of the AIFFs operational programs through sound fiscal management. Be part of and contribute constructively towards various committees of strategic importance relevant to the GM- S&Os; job description, such as the Finance Committee, Technical Committee and Competitions Committee or any other committee as deemed to be necessary by the GS from time to time. Assist the GS in providing leadership and input for all strategic plan preparation and implementation processes in conjunction with the staff of the AIFF. Collaborate with department heads and their staff as they implement the strategic plan and transition- related operations. Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation. Assist the GS in planning and implementation of new special projects as required from time to time.
