Job Description

Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors. Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals. Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.Purchasing Officer responsibilities includeevaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports(e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure youre identifying the most profitable offers.Purchasing Officers must havestrong communication skillsto work with individuals inside and outside of the company. They must also possess strong organizational skills to track large quantities of stock, purchase items in bulk, and prepare reports regularly.
