Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop maintainable Ruby code in Linux
  • Develop data storage solutions using SQL databases like MS Sql Server, PostgreSQL or MySql
  • Integration of user-facing elements with server side logic
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization and performance
  • Support existing applications for bug fixes and uptime

Skills :

  • At least 5 years experience with Ruby on Rails and its various libraries
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Experience in backend application programming like document parsing, text analysis & image parsing is strongly preferred
  • Experience in PDF reader gems using ROR.
  • Experience with test driven development using RSpec
  • Development experience with concepts of MVC, SPA and RESTful interfaces
  • Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Ability to create stored procedures, DML & DDL using multiple databases especially PostgreSQL or MySql
  • Experience using source code control like Git, SVN or TFS
  • Experience with .NET framework is not mandatory but a major plus
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Good communication skills
